Things I worked on today.

I had these two oil-on-canvas experiments sitting aside for a long time but I think I know what I want to do with them now.

An experimental Colonization piece I started a while back with oil paint on PVA-sized fabric from an old shirt of mine. Now I’m mounting it on top of a stronger canvas that I can wrap it around, because I like it so far and want to save it.

Done, although not yet named. (wallpaper scrap, watercolor, ink, graphite, silver metal leaf on panel)

Worked on this a little more, decided to add a silver leaf border.

I’m trying out a new idea that involves taking my topographical paintings and imagining what it might look like if I were standing at a particular spot in them (kind of like adding another dimension to that little world or bringing it another step toward reality). So these are some of the initial sketches for the first one.
